Guts, with a passion.

If you dont know by now that im 100% pro-engineering, then you must be quite blur not to see that. Was re-iterating my stand to someone today that people dont have the guts to take up engineering, preferring in-demand courses like business and life science. In which, I support my statement with a passion. Indeed it IS a sad fact that as the years go by, classes get smaller and smaller! People drop out/switch course because of the hectic demands. No doubt it is stressful, but no matter how stressful it is, I believe He is good. Its not as if I have a natural flair for it, and I almost did business, the easiest of the lot.

To me, human nature does not have guts. Not with respect to the course of study, but even in general issues. Look at the youths of today.. tell me where are the REAL big time gangsters? To me, the 'gangsters' of this generation are seriously PEANUTS to the gangsters of the past. Young punks today 'try' to act big in front of their peers. Well, in my opinion, a big L. Truthfully, I think people tend to meet personal needs and company needs, but more often fail at meeting national needs. To be honest, the business industry is as saturated as it is, and yet hundreds of students still take the 'standard' path of a typical JC/poly student. What about the declining IT industry? What about Fashion? I feel that Singapore's talent has not been maximised on a national scale. Or rather, what talent?

To me, the possibility of Singapore getting submerged underwater thanks to global warming is increasingly agonizing. And yet, of what use would a business degree be when you have natural disasters to cope with. And you people complain when there is no jobs available. Well. Stop whining and start meeting national needs rather then having a small puny mindset. Period.
