5 more days till the basketball game of the season starts, 4 quarters of battle.
1st quarter: Calculus and Linear Algebra
2nd quarter: Modelling and Computer Analysis for Engineers
3rd quarter: Control and Mechatronics
4th quarter: Heat and Mass Transfer
Dont think the short jumper or the 35-foot 3 pointer would work now, but I'll just drive down the lane for a lay-up or a dunk. Its either make or break, 4 quarters to the NBA Championship. Like Allen Iverson said when he joined the 2006 NBA Champions Detroit Pistons, "I have a big-time resume, but I have a big hole in that, and that's a championship, so obviously that's something I want to accomplish. I have money, I have all the individual accolades, I've done all the All-Stars, the scoring championships, the MVPs, stuff like that."But I haven't had a chance to feel the feeling of winning a championship, and that's the most important thing for me right now."
For those who do not know who Allen Iverson is, he was the top pick in the 1996 draft, and easily one of the top shooting guards in the NBA. Season after season, he would top the season top scoring charts and chalk up his personal awards cabinet. Allen Iverson ranks 20th among all-time scorers in NBA history, earning league MVP and nine-time All-Star status, but yet, he has not won the elusive Championship. And that my friend, drives this 33 year old to work even harder. Now that's heart ma man.
When the final buzzer resounds throughout the court, its either tears of regret or tears of joy. 5 days, 90 hours, and only I, can make my destiny.
